NHS Innovations East’s Innovation Awards Dinner

Tony Thompstone, Carl Walkden and Simon Talbot represented P3 at NHS Innovations East’s Innovation Awards Dinner at Duxford in April.

Simon presented the P3 Medical Award for Medical Technology to Barry Whitlow of Essex Rivers Healthcare NHS Trust for his innovative Hysterectomy Training Models which will improve patient safety, efficiency in theatre, trainee confidence and allow for better trained gynaecologists of the future.

Innovation to help combat infection in the Operating Theatre - The Clinicon Lavage Tray

Amba Medical has signed an exclusive contract to market a new development pioneered by leading orthopaedic surgeon Mr John Hardy who has a keen interest in infection control during surgery.

The new device is a sophisticated drape which will prevent the spread of fluid-borne pathogens during wet procedures. The product will be available from November 2007.
